Finishing the seatcowl

3d prints are a revolution in making parts fast and relativly easy. If you want a nice smooth surface though, there is quite some work on them after the printer stops working. Sanding out the most rough artefacts with a grid 80. Applying 2 layers of fine putty and sanding them even. Applying sprayputty for the last ‘imperfections’ and then sanding again. Sounds like a swift and easy job but it took me way longer then what I anticipated for…

Because my 3dprint is quite thin and breakable I couldn’t apply to much force when sanding. One crack appeared between two putty layers, I sanded the putty away over the crack and applied some superglue. Later added the second layer of fine putty.
